It’s Friday: “Death, Be Not Proud” by Audrey Assad

This beautiful song comes from an EP of the same name.

You can listen to the whole EP here.

Death, be not proud, though the whole world fear you:
Mighty and dreadful you may seem,
But death, be not proud, for your pride has failed you
You will not kill me.
Though you may dwell in plague and poison,
You’re a slave to fate and desperate men,
So death, if your sleep be the gates to Heaven,
Why your confidence?
When you will be no more,
You will be no more,
When you will be no more.
Even death will die.
Even death will die.

It’s Friday: “Jesus Loves Me” by Chris Tomlin

It seems to be the season for new albums.

Chris Tomlin has a new album out on the 27th October called “Love Ran Red”, here’s an acoustic version of one of the songs from that album:

I was lost
I was in chains
The world had a hold of me

My heart was a stone
I was covered in shame
When He came for me

I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His presence
I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His arms

Jesus, He loves me, He loves me, He is for me
Jesus, how can it be, He loves me, He is for me

If you’d like to know a bit more about the story behind the song, Chris explains a bit in this video:

It’s Friday: “Set Apart” by Worship Central

A new song from Worship Central ahead of a new album, also called Set Apart, that’s coming out on 26th October 2014 and is currently available to pre-order.

Back to our first love, nothing between us
Back to your heart, to the start of it all, where we found you
Out of the ashes, into the fire
You are refining our hearts in the flames of your presence

Set apart for our God above, set apart for the one we love
Set apart for your glory, we are yours, yours

Sacred and holy, your name is worthy
Jesus, awaken our hearts now to be your revival

Set apart for our God above, set apart for the one we love
Set apart for your glory, we are yours, yours
Everything for you alone, everything to make you known
Set apart for your glory, we are yours, yours

It’s Friday: “Empty Me Out” by Liz Vice

Liz Vice talks about the song “Empty Me Out” from her first album “There’s a Light” (which is available for download on NoiseTrade).

If you like soul music you will love Liz’s voice and the rhythm of this song.

Lyrics:

Empty me out / Fill me with You
Lord there is nothing / I can give to You
I lay down my life / Here at Your feet
You give me life / So completely

I died with You / Was buried with You
The moment I believed
I rose with You / Ascended with You
Into the Heavenlies
Lord, it’s not me / It’s You inside of me
Jesus, You are all / These eyes can see
