Very likely an Elder in the Jerusalem Church, he is recorded in two incidents, both of which occurred outside Jerusalem – the first in Antioch and the second in Caesarea by the Sea. An early church prophet who bought the first prophetic prediction in Acts of famine (which subsequently happened) but on his say so, a huge collection was made. The second prophecy was 15 years later concerning Paul’s death, which everyone accepted as true. A man who used his Spiritual Gifts with evident credibility which built the trust of the church.
