We can celebrate the “kindness and love of God” (Titus 3:4) in Jesus Christ and we are part of his ancient (but on-going) story. Through all of the instruction we can join Paul in his real heartbeat here. So what is our purpose? Paul says these things to Titus so that they and we “may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good”.
What would it feel like to benefit from someone’s will? If you are the heir, you get what is passed down to you. Every Christian is an heir of their Father God. God’s will is that anyone ‘in Christ Jesus’ should not be condemned for sin, but set free. We’ll look at what Romans 8 says about being set free by the ‘law of the Spirit.’

This talk was given at a gathering lead by the young people of FFMC which included a dramatic reading of 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, sadly we’ve not been able to include the reading because a number of the readers did not have microphones, so can’t be heard.
